Restoring the 11th and 15th holes

Broadstone is one of the finest examples of an unspoilt heathland golf course in the South of England . The course lies within 250 acres of rolling terrain, the fairways run freely and separately through superb natural heathland with its swathes of heather, pine, gorse and rhododendrons, and several holes offer magnificent views for miles around. It has the scale of Gleneagles, possesses a beautiful and varied routing, and as one would expect from Colt it features a set of very good par 3 holes. Over time though the course had lost some of its key Colt detailing.

IVGD have been working with the club for the past few years to restore back some of the lost Colt elements of the course, particularly the bunker shapes, tee complexes and some of the green sizes.

During the next year we will be focusing on restoring the bunkers around the green of hole 11, and if time permits also the bunkers around the green of hole 15. The work will be done in house by the greenkeeping team of Broadstone.
